First, join one or more Humane Societies or Animal Rescue Groups. Second, donate - tax-free - to these groups. Third, volunteer your time to perform any tasks required to help maintain high quality care for pets served by these organizations. Fourth, bequeath funds to the groups of your choice. Fifth, make certain all pets around you are spayed or neutered. Sixth, report animal cruelty or abuse. Seventh, spread the word around as far and wide as possible regarding all of the topics above.
